USSI Global Names Ed McGivern Chief Revenue Officer
Media industry executive brings proven record of building commercial teams, accelerating revenue growth and strengthening customer relationships to global leadership role
MELBOURNE, Florida, October 8, 2026 — USSI Global, a leading provider of customized network, broadcast media and digital signage systems and services worldwide, has appointed accomplished media technology and transformational executive leader Ed McGivern as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Reporting to President and CEO Anthony Morelli, McGivern will lead USSI Global’s go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition and revenue expansion.
McGivern brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience to USSI Global, with a track record of building high-performing sales organizations, accelerating revenue growth and helping technology businesses successfully navigate periods of transformation. His experience includes senior commercial leadership positions with some of the broadcast and media technology industry’s most recognized brands, including Harris Broadcast/Imagine Communications, Grass Valley/Snell Advanced Media and Tektronix.
Most recently, McGivern started and served as President and General Manager of Appear U.S. Inc, Appear’s North America entity, which he launched in January 2022. McGivern built the organization from the ground up and grew the sales, operations, and the support organization into a 45 million+ annual revenue business in less than five years.
“Ed has an exceptional track record of building businesses and developing the commercial organizations required to sustain that growth,” said Morelli. “USSI Global is entering a period of tremendous opportunity as our customers navigate another major C-band transition while also confronting broader changes in how they build, operate and support their technology infrastructure. Ed understands these customers, their businesses and the markets we serve. His leadership will help us capitalize on those opportunities while expanding our managed services and developing new business in markets such as government, sports, and live events.”
The appointment comes as USSI Global prepares to play a significant role in the next phase of the C-band spectrum transition. The company supported customers throughout the first C-band clearing initiative and has since expanded its engineering, project management and managed services capabilities to address increasingly diverse media transport architectures spanning satellite, hybrid scenarios including terrestrial IP and LEO, cloud and other connectivity options.
McGivern sees an opportunity to turn large-scale projects such as C-band into longer-term customer relationships by extending USSI Global’s involvement beyond deployment and commissioning. With broadcast organizations facing diminishing internal RF engineering resources, he expects demand for ongoing monitoring, connectivity management and other managed services.
“The commercial strategy starts with understanding the customer’s business and making USSI Global easy to work with,” said McGivern. “Customers don’t want to navigate complicated organizations. They want partners that understand what they are trying to achieve, can bring the right expertise to the table and can remain engaged throughout the lifecycle of the project. That customer-first approach has guided me throughout my career, and it fits extremely well with the way USSI Global does business.”
McGivern will focus on helping customers navigate increasingly complex technology and operational environments by leveraging USSI Global’s engineering, logistics, deployment, and managed services capabilities, along with its growing ecosystem of technology partners. He sees significant opportunity as organizations increasingly seek trusted partners with the specialized expertise and scale needed to deploy, manage, and support next-generation technology infrastructure.
McGivern concludes, “USSI Global fills important gaps for media customers, government organizations, retail media, technology partners and other customers that need specialized engineering, logistics and managed services and support. We can help implement the infrastructure, but just as importantly, we can help customers manage what comes next.”
