Energize and Engage™ with USSI Global

There are already more than 2 million Electric Vehicles (EVs) and about 55,000 EV charging stations in the U.S., and those numbers are only going to increase. With sales on the rise, we could see more than 26 million EVs on the road by 2030, which means the country will likely need more than 1 million public chargers to meet the demand. The major issue with public EV chargers is reliability – because service is noticeably lacking. When you partner with USSI Global, that problem goes away. Our mission is to provide quality and customized solutions globally. We are available 24/7 to ensure an outstanding customer experience every time. Here’s how we put our experience to work...

Why Invest in an EV Charging Station?

EV drivers need EV charging stations – and there simply aren’t enough of them in most areas. Installing Level 2 chargers at your business location is a great way to attract EV owners. Popular apps like ChargePoint and PlugShare help direct EV drivers to chargers in their area. After all, wouldn’t you rather shop or dine where you can “top off” at the same time?

You can also promote your charging station as a solution that works toward your company’s sustainability goals. A recent study from Stanford University advised policymakers to encourage EV drivers to make the shift from home-based evening charging to daytime charging at the office or public charging stations. In addition to being accessible and environmentally friendly, your EV charging station helps consumers put less strain on the power grid. That’s a win-win-win.

Why Should Your EV Charger Have Integrated Digital Signage?

An EV charging kiosk equipped with digital signage from USSI Global shares clean energy and customized content. We’re not talking boring billboards – USSI Global’s charging kiosks couple Level 2 charging with a 55-inch Samsung outdoor display that can support a true multimedia experience. That means video content, motion graphics, and multi-zone messaging, plus directional audio and IoT sensors.

Change your content throughout the day for a truly unique user experience. Share news and updated weather information all day, as well as special promotions. An EV charging kiosk is an ideal avenue for sharing your message with potential customers.

Plus, no matter where you install your USSI Global charging kiosk, there will be plenty of potential advertisers to help you generate revenue month after month:

  • Auto Dealerships
  • Restaurants
  • Retailers
  • Medical Offices
  • Entertainment Complexes
  • Apartment Complexes
  • Local Government

Charging Levels: The Basics

There are basically three charging choices on the market. These “levels” offer varying degrees of charging efficiency and economy.

Level 1: You’ll find these at homes, plugged into standard outlets. The problem is that they are extremely inefficient. It can literally take a day to fully charge an EV, and most drivers have to charge their cars during the evening when residential power rates are higher.

Level 2: Most public charging stations (and even some homes) are equipped with Level 2 technology, which can provide up to 65 miles of driving range per hour of charge. When you consider these chargers can be powered by renewable energy such as solar and wind during the day, operating costs become very reasonable.

Level 3: These are DC fast chargers, able to fully charge an EV in an hour or less. However, these chargers strain your power grid, put unwanted strain on the batteries themselves and are a very expensive option for retailers.

Level 2 chargers are the best value for public charging stations, offering the best combination of efficient charging for customers and cost for companies. And USSI Global wants to help bring more Level 2 chargers to market. Learn more about EV charging station technology by contacting us.
